Web Specialist

This vacancy is for a GS-2210-11, Web Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, DIGITAL MEDIA DIVISION -CG-09221 in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.

You will serve as a Web Specialist and be responsible for the technical planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of Internet systems, services, and technologies, including technical development, management, and oversight of the Coast Guard's public web program and coordinates web design efforts for the Office of Public Affairs, to include development and administration of Internet and proprietary content management systems and services. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Determines overall technical design and structure of Internet services, including public-facing websites and applications.

Coordinates, collects, and evaluates media for electronic publication to develop a compliant U.S. Coast Guard brand.. Schedules and coordinates the creation of content for digital media formats from concept through to delivery. Evaluates and applies new Internet services and technologies.

Partners with content managers and creators to integrate content into sites based on requirements.
