Job description

This vacancy is for a Antiboycott Compliance Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

As an Antiboycott Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Conducts antiboycott investigations by identifying and developing investigative leads; analyzes legal and business relationships to assess compliance with U.S. antiboycott regulations and identify potential violations. Plans and performs investigative activities involving persons and transactions of moderate to high complexity; evaluates evidence for legal and factual sufficiency and recommends appropriate enforcement actions or need for further investigative development. Prepares detailed case reports and enforcement recommendations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with regulatory standards to support administrative or civil enforcement actions.

Provides guidance on antiboycott regulations to internal staff and external stakeholders; interprets regulatory requirements and assists in addressing compliance-related inquiries and case issues. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Antiboycott Compliance Specialist GS-1801-12, FPL GS-13 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
