Job description

This vacancy is for a Antiboycott Compliance Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

As an Antiboycott Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Assists in conducting antiboycott investigations by supporting the identification and development of investigative leads; reviews legal and business information to help assess compliance with U.S. antiboycott regulations and identify potential issues. Participates in investigative activities involving persons and transactions of moderate complexity; gathers and organizes evidence and assists in evaluating information under the guidance of senior staff. Prepares draft case reports and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for review by higher-level specialists in support of administrative or civil enforcement actions.

Assists in responding to inquiries on antiboycott regulations by providing general information to internal staff and external stakeholders; supports interpretation of regulatory requirements under supervision. Supports enforcement and case processing activities, including assisting with analysis of respondent information and contributing to materials prepared for Administrative Case Review Board (ACRB) review and settlement discussions. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Antiboycott Compliance Specialist GS-1801-11, FPL GS-13 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
