Job description

This vacancy is for a Antiboycott Compliance Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

As an Antiboycott Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Leads antiboycott investigations by independently identifying and developing investigative leads; analyzes legal and business relationships to determine compliance with U.S. antiboycott regulations and assess potential violations. Plans and execute advanced investigative activities involving persons and transactions of significant complexity; evaluate evidence for legal and factual sufficiency and determine appropriate enforcement actions. Prepares comprehensive case reports and enforcement recommendations, ensuring analytical, legal accuracy, and alignment with regulatory standards to support administrative or civil enforcement actions. Serves as a subject matter expert on antiboycott regulations, providing authoritative guidance to internal staff and external stakeholders; interprets regulatory requirements, advises on compliance strategies, and supports resolution of policy and case-related issues.

Develops enforcement strategies and penalty recommendations, including analysis of respondent financial conditions; supports Administrative Case Review Board (ACRB) actions and participates in settlement negotiations within established parameters.
