Job description

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 102D Signal Battalion Kaiserslautern, Germany The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to 5 years.

Serves as the Key Management Infrastructure Operating Account Manager (KOAM) assigned to the 102D Signal Battalion.

Serves as the principal advisor to the Battalion Commander an all COMSEC related matters, providing expert guidance on Positive Control Material and NATO COMSEC Program Management

Serves as a small team leader, overseeing the work of the COMSEC team and planning and scheduling work projects to meet mission requirements.

Provides technical expertise in the operation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of cryptographic systems and equipment.

Conducts periodic audits and inspections to verify adherence to COMSEC requirements, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions
