Job description

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare Drug Rebate and Negotiations Group (MDRNG) As Supervisory Health Specialist (GS-0107-14), you will serve as a Deputy Director assisting with leading and coordinating policy development and refinement for the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation and Inflation Rebate Programs.

Serving as Deputy Division Director and sharing responsibility for leading policy development and operations for the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation and Inflation Rebate Programs

Directing professional staff and manage work priorities, performance, employee development, and workplace issues.

Leading Medicare policy development for Part B and Part D drug inflation rebates and negotiated prices for selected drugs.

Overseeing regulations, rulings, manuals, guidance, reports to Congress, and policy instructions for Medicare program implementation

Advising CMS leadership on complex Medicare drug policy issues and recommend program responses.

Representing the division with government, industry, advocacy, provider, beneficiary, and congressional stakeholders and coordinate policy initiatives.

Reviewing laws, regulations, legislation, and health policy developments and assess their effects on Medicare programs and operations.
