Medical Support Assistant (Patient Registration)

Make a difference in your community by serving as the first point of contact for patients seeking healthcare. In this role, you'll provide patient registration and eligibility support, help maintain accurate patient information, and deliver outstanding customer service to support quality care at the Pawnee Indian Health Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R.

37.5 (2021).

Greet patients and visitors while providing courteous and professional customer service. Interview patients to obtain, verify, and update demographic, insurance, and eligibility information. Register patients and maintain accurate patient information in electronic health record and patient registration systems. Explain registration procedures, obtain required forms and signatures, and ensure documentation is complete.

Verify insurance and third-party resource information to support billing and eligibility requirements. Coordinate with clinical staff and other departments to support patient care and efficient clinic operations. Maintain the confidentiality of patient information and comply with privacy and security requirements.
