The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters Space Force Command (HQSF) at The Pentagon is searching for a Management and Program Analyst (NH-0343-04, GS 14/15 equivalent). Description: Join the U.S. Space Force's Chief Strategy and Resourcing Office (HQSF/S5/8) as a Management and Program Analyst and place yourself at the center of defining the future of the service. In this role, you will be a driving force in developing and integrating critical USSF capabilities by authoring key requirements documents and representing the USSF in Joint Capability Working Groups and Functional Capabilities Boards.

This position involves extensive collaboration with the OSD, Joint Staff, other military services, and Combatant Commands to ensure seamless capability integration and requires preparing senior leadership for high-stakes meetings at the Joint Capabilities Board and the Joint Requirements Oversight Council. We are seeking an expert in joint functions who possesses exceptional communication skills, a proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams, and the professionalism to excel as a senior action officer on a 4-star staff; successful candidates must deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and will be required to obtain and maintain Requirements Management Certification Training upon starting. The ideal candidate will be a skilled staff officer with a background in DoW operations, capability development, acquisitions, and planning and budgeting. Expertise in one or more of the Space Force Functions-such as Space Control, Global Mission Operations, Space Access, or Enterprise Functions (e.g., Intelligence, Networks, Command and Control, and Space Domain Awareness)-is essential for success in this role.

Key qualifications include excellent written and oral communication, the ability to collaborate with both internal and external teams, and a proven track record of delivering results on short deadlines. While familiarity with operational capability requirements and the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) is preferred, it is not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is expected. Key Skills and Abilities: Expert knowledge of Joint Staff and Space Force operational capability requirements development processes and knowledge of the Department of War Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution process and Acquisition processes. Knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).

In-depth knowledge of the relationship of the various Space Force entities, to include intelligence, involved in overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations, and the way the directorate processes supports them. Ability to define, direct, or lead highly challenging projects/programs. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, negotiate complex issues, and maintains good working relations.
