Cyber Operations Plans Analyst

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Cyber Command - J3, Fort Mead, Maryland.

Conduct comprehensive analyses to provide the supervisor, J3, and Command leadership with recommendations and to inform Commander decisions to allocate cyber forces to meet combatant command requirements.

Coordinate with Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies to conduct these comprehensive assessments and make recommendations to the Commander and Secretary of Defense as to joint sourcing solutions for cyber forces.

Provide analytical expertise and operational insights to ensure these analyses realistically balance the operational risk of executing campaign plans, combat operations, crisis responses, and other assigned missions against available forces.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout the DoD cyberspace community, as well as with external partners in the intelligence community, other U.S. Government (USG) agencies, and allied nations

Build and maintain a suite of analytical methodologies that is capable of capturing and accurately weighing the many factors that play into defining cyberspace force requirements to achieve national defense-critical operations

Coordinate and collaborate with and provides joint force allocation functional expertise and analytical skills to current operations activities,exercises, and assessments
