General Engineer

About the Position: This senior position provides advice and support to the Engineer Branch Chief and the Logistics Support Division Chief, AFRICOM Regional Engineer (ARE) is located at Headquarters. ***Relocation Incentive and/or Recruitment Incentive may be authorized.***

Develops and implements standardized USAFRICOM engineering solutions.

Manages all engineer activities in a geographic region of Africa: specifically, Infrastructure, Environmental, Security Engagements, and Contingency Operations.

Manages workload, assets and budget requirements for execution across Military Construction (MILCON) and Exercise Related Construction (ERC) projects.

Facilitates sharing of lessons learned and information across the Logistics Directorate.

Ensures subordinate commands properly collect and input required data elements and reports in various USAFRICOM electronic applications.
