This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in Regional Relations (AIR), Intergovernmental Affairs (AI), Administrator (A). A successful candidate in the Constituent Account Executive position will be responsible for managing BPA relationships with local, state, regional and national elected officials, agencies and advocacy organizations on a wide variety of national and regional programs and policies.
As a Constituent Account Executive, you will: Manage BPA a wide variety of national and regional programs and policies, including issues related to: Federal Columbia River Power System (FCRPS) operations, transmission operations and reliability, FCRPS Biological Opinions and related fish and wildlife activities, the Columbia River Treaty, climate change and carbon policies, energy efficiency programs, renewable generation resource and policy issues, Columbia Generating Station (CGS), financial processes and power and transmission rates. Proactively care for the constituent's needs among the full range of issues, and resolve any problems associated with these needs as they relate to Bonneville's activities. Plan, direct, and manage meetings with the Administrator, other BPA executives, senior managers and business units. Advise executive and senior BPA management and other subject matter experts in the development and review of new or amended programs, policies and operational activities that have implications for local and state governments, elected officials and public interest organizations.
Develop and implement strategies to advance the business and policy interests of BPA in local, state and regional forums, city councils, county commissions, state legislatures, state regulatory commissions, Governor-appointed committees and in-district meetings. Negotiate contracts, memoranda of agreement or understanding, and other formal and informal agreements with non-customer constituent groups to facilitate positive working relationships and support Bonneville's important role in delivering cost-effective, reliable and non-carbon emitting power.
