Job description

This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), Operations Branch, Strategic Operations and Examination Resource Management Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $305,000.

Provides executive-level leadership in the Division's strategic planning and governance, workforce management, training, knowledge management, examiner training oversight, and communications and messaging activities, and ensures these programs are effectively executed in accordance with broadly stated divisional objectives and priorities, as well as within statutory requirements and corporate policy guidelines. Leads Division's response to and action on human capital initiatives, including succession planning, employee development, and workforce staffing. Shares responsibility for and leads the Division's impact analysis of human capital advisories and divisional compliance with human resources guidance.

Oversees divisional workforce management tasks and functions, including Divisional span-of-control analysis. Directs long-range strategic planning and coordinates the implementation of Divisional operating programs and procedures. Represents the Division at various meetings within the Division and Agency to articulate the Division's views, requirements, and policies and procedures.

Assists in providing oversight into the Division's business continuity planning. Provides leadership and direction to the Deputy Director in implementing the business continuity plan as necessary. Develops and recommends solutions and proposes feasible courses of action to the Deputy Director and Director involving areas that fall under the Deputy Director of Operations under delegated authority.
