This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

The Maplewood Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time Supervisory Staff Physician. 13 CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System provide care to Veterans near their home town and serve over 50,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. The Maplewood Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) is seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider with administrative and supervisory experience for a position as Medical Supervisor is sought for a VA clinic in Maplewood, Minnesota part of the Minneapolis, MN VA health care system. Our facilities include an updated fully-equipped medical clinic with a lab, x- ray and telemedicine capabilities.
Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Maplewood and surrounding areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist. Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic. Take time with your patients.
Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutes Providers will perform outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients. An assigned panel of patients is determined by the VHA PCMM software package which is specific to their practice and setting. Focus on care include the chronic disease initiative areas of CHF, COPD and DM, mental health collaboration in the PC setting, MOVE program focusing on weight loss, diet and activity as well as health promotion/disease management.
The Medical Supervisor of Maplewood, MN CBOC will recruit providers, oversee clinical operations, oversight of all physicians, PA's, and NP's, and otherwise administer the clinic in collaboration with Clinic Nurse Manager.
