Job description

The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team with long and short stay resident care and provides care to them on a consistent and recurring basis. This is an intermittent position. The LPN completes assigned duties and responsibilities, which involve performing standard and specialized practical nursing activities and which require broad work experience.

Recurring duties are carried out independently. ***This position is located at Loch Raven.***

The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team with selected patients and provides care to them on a regular and recurring The LPN completes assigned duties and responsibilities, which involve performing standard and specialized practical nursing activities and which require broad work experience Recurring duties are carried out independently. The LPN recognizes the need for and seeks guidance when necessary to ensure quality patient care. In organizing the delivering care, the LPN recognizes and considers emotional, cultural, spiritual, and age related factors.

The LPN actively seeks out educational opportunities to enhance nursing knowledge and skills, sharing new knowledge gained with other staff to improve and advance nursing practice. The LPN administers medication, which implies knowledge of proper techniques and procedures.
