Lead Health Technician (Surgical)

This position is located at the PHS Indian Hospital, Pine Ridge, SD. The Lead Health Technician (Surgical) is a member of the surgical team and provides assistance to the surgeon and other team members during the surgical procedures. The incumbent provides leader oversight to four (4) Health Technician (Surgical) staff and one (1) Medical Supply Technician.

A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Distributes and balances the workload among employees Monitors working conditions such as seating, ventilation, lighting, safety, etc. Assists the team members with care of the patient, i.e., positioning, prepping, and obtaining supplies Assists in all areas of surgery, as needed. Provides cleaning, packaging and sterilizing services in support of hospital services.
