Job description

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the NETCOM, Wiesbaden, Germany.

The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to 5 years.

Responsible for all network aspects of projects such as the engineering/networking assessments, hardware and software charter.

Provides technical input or recommendations into the statement of work, work breakdown structure, communication plan, change management plan, risk management plan, and project management plan.

Ensures all IT projects follow DODAF framework, and applicable regulations, policies and standards. Provide provides briefings and updates to managers and supervisors for information and follow- on actions.

Performs critical analysis concerning engineering and implementation of specialty area systems.

Provide exceptional technical expertise, advice, guidance, and hands-on skills for preparation of information systems plans, system design plans, and specifications for major Army and DoD programs/projects in their specialty area.
