Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex inquiries of environmental requirements and disposal processes.

Ensures environmental compliance of DLA Disposition Services field activities by conducting thorough audits of hazardous waste disposal contractors, Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs), and hazardous property sales customers.

Analyze findings, identify trends, and develop corrective action plans.

Analyze and interpret current and proposed federal, state, and local environmental regulations (including RCRA, TSCA, and CERCLA) to determine their impact on agency operations.

Represent the agency in meetings with military services and other federal agencies to exchange information, resolve complex issues, and advocate for agency programs.

Develops and implements new and revised environmental policies and procedures, advises on their implementation, and evaluates requests for deviation from standard operating procedures.

Managing and maintaining the Hazardous Material Management System-Hazardous Waste Disposition (HMMSHWD) database to ensure data accuracy for quality control.

Develop and present comprehensive reports, detailed briefings, and training materials on program developments and environmental compliance to leadership and stakeholders.
