Job description

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

Responsible for conducting investigations of violations of the laws of the United States or infractions of the regulations of the BOP, which may occur within or without the confines of the assigned facilities. Coordinates the various aspects of the investigation under the guidance of an OIA Special Agent. Guidance may also be provided by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG).

Assures all allegations or appearances of employee misconduct are investigated. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
