Correctional Program Specialist (Contract Oversight Specialist)

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

Assumes responsibility for all duties and functions related to the operations and programs of residential reentry centers, and contract confinement/detention facilities within the geographical area specified for the Residential Reentry Office. Demonstrates considerable management, technical, and interpersonal communication expertise in providing oversight of residential reentry contract facility operations and programs. Responsible for all aspects of the contract process, under the general direction of the RRM. This includes accurately determining the need for contract services, recommending procurement based on factors unique to the geographical area, and identifying potential resources to stimulate competition.

Shall review and analyze indicator data related to all contract facilities on a perpetual basis to identify programmatic or operational weaknesses and suggest/prepare/implement action plans for resolution.
