Job description

The positions apply advanced technologies, including AI and machine learning, to develop secure, scalable, and intelligent systems that protect biomedical data and support NLM's public mission. They design advanced information retrieval, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, evaluate emerging technologies, and strengthen information access, service quality, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency in support of Presidential priorities for secure, customer-focused digital services.

As a Computer Scientist, you will: Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and execute advanced computing and bioinformatics systems. Design and develop scientific software applications and establishes system design characteristics to meet requirements. Provide expert advisory on the feasibility and application of new scientific studies and discoveries.

Participate in conferences and meetings of professional groups related to bioinformatics and computer technologies. Research and recommend the adoption of innovative solutions to enhance research capabilities.
