The Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) plans and directs subordinate Lead MSA and MSA's activities. The Supervisory MSA evaluates the work of subordinate staff, resolves complex problems, makes recommendations for hiring, and takes disciplinary action as needed. NOTE: The 2-page Resume requirement does not apply to this occupational series.

Evaluates work of subordinate staff. Resolves complex problems to ensure patient services/needs are met. Reviews new products, equipment, and systems to make recommendations for improved operations. Identifies training and/or educational needs.
Makes final recommendations for hiring selections. Plans and directs the subordinate Lead MSA and MSA's activities. Coaches and trains staff.
Reviews all patient movements from the prior day to ensure movement errors are corrected and training is provided as needed. Recommends promotions and/or step increaes. Conducts individual quality assurance and/or process improvement studies.

Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
