Job description

You will serve as a SUBMARINE FORCE SENIOR ADVISOR in the Force Security Office for PAC FLEET SUB FORCE OPS COMPONENT.

You will serve as the Force-wide Submarine Program Manager and advisor on matters pertaining to submarine operational and tactical safety.

You will perform duties for both COMSUBLANT and COMSUBPAC.

You will provide periodic independent safety assessments to the Commander.

You will evaluate and align training, operations, doctrine, and associated operational integrity practices for Submarine Force training programs.

You will be responsible for the currency and adequacy of the Submarine Operations Manual (SOM) and dissemination of the Submarine Force knowledge retention system for lessons learned.

You will be responsible for submarine mishap investigations (e.g. Safety Investigation Boards, flag panels, Boards of Inquiry, etc.).

You will participate in Submarine Force-wide venues, meetings, and/or briefs that efficiently and effectively support independent safety analysis and observation.

You will maintain comprehensive situational awareness of Submarine Force-wide operational policies, doctrine, and performance metrics.
