This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional This Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (SUDTP) Social Worker serves as an outpatient and residential therapist withing the Mental Health service department. This position is responsible for completing the following duties/responsibilities: This position provides specialized evidence based substance abuse treatment services in building 24 utilizing various modes of delivery which includes: face to face and TMH delivery of individual and group CBT, Interpersonal, DBT, ME, OEF/OIF, Family Counseling, & Marital Therapy. The Senior Social Worker would provide extra support to the Supervisory SUDTP Coordinator in coordinating increasingly complex programming, including a 16 bed residential program, a 5-day a week Intensive Outpatient Program, suboxone treatment, and SATC services at Zorn and throughout the CBOCs. The incumbent will play an important role in assuring continuity of care across all levels of programming. The Senior Social Worker would be responsible for maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all accreditation standards, including those applicable to Joint Commission, OIG, the Office of Mental Health, and GARF.

They would particularly be responsible for organizing the portion of the GARF survey related to SARRTP, which would help to maintain our good performance in reviews. Interviews veterans and their family members/significant others to establish facts about the veteran's situation, presenting problems and their causes, and the impact of such problems on the veteran's functioning and health as part of a comprehensive psychosocial assessment. Interprets and explains VA's treatment and benefit programs.

Reviews all data, subjective and objective, and makes a clinical assessment identifying needs and strengths. Independently evaluates the client's situation, including the veteran's strengths and arrives at a reasons conclusion. Develops psychosocial treatment plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members and the veterans input.

Participates in the assignment of veterans to treatment teams and programs if possible, otherwise, provides coverage to support the veterans' needs. Consults with other specialists in planning treatment for veterans with co-morbidities. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade). Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year). Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.

Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
