Job description

As an Mission Support Specialist, you will be responsible for a full range of administrative and management services, technical and analytical duties, a variety of liaison activities, and special assignments related to the mission of the Asylum Office.

The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.

Provide support to employees, supervisors, and managers in mission support functions such as human resources, occupational health and safety, facilities management, security, procurement, asset management, and travel administration.

Develop, implement, interpret, and advise managers on administrative policies to improve efficiencies.

Exercise flexibility and organizational awareness, and collaborate across directorate lines to successfully carry out the Asylum Division's mission.

Research and analyze complex administrative projects and make sound recommendations supported by comprehensive reports, findings, or briefings utilizing various databases.
