Job description

You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER (Desk/Patrol Sergeant) in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.

You will provide on-the-job training to new FTOs in accordance with established procedures and practices.

You will assist in the planning and directing of watch activities for his/her assigned areas.

You will make on the spot decisions on all out of the ordinary incidents.

You will provide technical advice and guidance to police officers on the enforcement of laws, rules and regulations.

You will respond to emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service during the watch.

You will conduct investigative stops, questions, detains, and issue traffic citations as required.

You will perform law enforcement duties at fixed posts such as entry and exit gates throughout the installation.

You will receive reports, maintain desk journals, ensure accuracy of paperwork, maintain key control for buildings and vehicles, issue specialized equipment and check detention cells.

You will distribute and manage workload and rotations, ensure work is completed at end of shift and ensure work is done according to department guidelines.
