Job description

As a Fire Protection Inspector, you will perform the following duties:

Perform comprehensive inspections of various buildings, high-hazard facilities, and operations to ensure compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, Army regulations, and local procedures.

Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project plans for new construction and facility alterations to evaluate the technical adequacy of fire protection and life safety features.

Develop, coordinate, and conduct fire safety education, prevention training courses, and evacuation drills for military personnel, civilian employees, schools, and specialized facility staff.

Identify and develop mitigation plans for hazards involving specialized equipment, flammable materials, explosives, and complex electronic systems, utilizing advanced or innovative hazard isolation methods.

Respond to hazardous incidents and emergencies under the Incident Command System, performing operational firefighting duties, apparatus maintenance, and basic medical care as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) during assigned shifts
