Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade.

Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.

The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer, to serve as the Executive Officer for the group senior ART. The primary purpose of the position is to administer and direct the group's executive support functions and to ensure that day-to-day operations comply with the policies of the senior ART and command. Additionally, provides training to reservists in the tasks of this position.

Duty 1: Serves as the executive advisor on programs and initiatives within the group. Duty 2: Performs a variety of staff studies concerning group programs and program support effectiveness resulting from regulatory changes, new technology, program/mission changes, recurring requirements, and others. Duty 3: Represents the senior ART concerning group plans, special events, projects, etc., to communicate senior ART's policies and to explain the interests of the group in regard to local activities or projects. Duty 4: Manages group resources for executive support, services and activities.

Conducts management studies, inquiries, and surveys to determine support requirements and to measure the effectiveness of existing structures in meeting objectives.
