Job description

This position is located at the Youth Sports and Fitness Center, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Morale Welfare and Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Assist in child and youth team sports, age-appropriate fitness and health initiatives, skill-building clinics, and community outreach. Assist in managing an active program of volunteer coaches and coach certification.

Assist in the planning and implementation that promotes positive growth and development of children and youth. Assist with providing program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and safety of program participants.

Ensure programs follow the National Standards for Youth Sports (NAYS). Trains and monitors coaches in accordance with National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) guidelines. Supervises volunteers as required.

Assist supervisor in developing and managing budget and procurement of supplies and equipment. Collect and maintain up-to-date statistical data for planning and reports. Ensure compliance with requirements and Child and Youth Service (CYS) standards.

Perform a full range of supervisory functions to staff and assist in recruitment and selection actions. Prepare reports, surveys, and briefings for the command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS.
